Back in the USSR, Penny Lane and Come Together were just a few of the songs dug out of The Beatles treasure trove by local band, Flaming Pie [Jon Boss, Gordon Oxendale, Jim Loeb and Len Hall] during a Kidney Foundation fundraiser last week. There was also a gourmet bake sale during the evening. The event, which was held at the Beacon Theatre, successfully raised $1,200 for the Kidney Foundation.
