A northwestern B.C. development company has been singled out for going above and beyond in ensuring the health and safety of its employees.

The Tahltan Nation Development Corporation (TNDC) has been awarded a Certificate of Recognition (COR) from WorksafeBC, which TNDC says reinforces their commitment to protecting workers and maintaining a progressive safety culture.

The corporation said it has been strengthening its health and safety practices, processes and procedures over the past 18 months with the 14 Elements of COR, which are outlined by the BC Construction Safety Alliance — the certifying partner for WorkSafeBC.
