August 9, 1932 - May 25, 2004
Ray was born at home in Big Meadows, Alberta on August 9, 1932. He was married on June 6, 1957 to Ellenor Millar in Fort St. John, B.C. Together they had four children; Ron, David, Elaine and Randy.
Ray’s passion was selling. . . anything and everything especially vacuums. He was a true salesman. He won many awards and prizes for his excellence in sales, including a brand new stationwagon and a trip for two to Hawaii. He also loved his 1979 Lincoln. It was always shiny and looking good.
Ray was a hard working man, loving husband and father who gave his children all that they needed and wanted. He was always known for his sense of humour.
Ray suffered a stroke in January of 1996 and from there he resided in the Peace Lutheran Care Home in Fort St. John. In May of 2000 he moved to the Pines Long Term Care Facility in Burns Lake to be closer to his family. He peacefully passed away at the Pines on May 25, 2004 surrounded by his family.
Ray will be sadly missed by his loving wife Ellenor, his children Ron, David (Pam), Elaine (Allen), Randy (Laura), his grandchildren Lyndsey, Jeff, Traci, Brandon, Brooklyn, Trevor, Jamie, Shayla, Payton, Cameron and his great-grandchild Kalen.
His sisters and brothers; Daisy Sheehan, Worsley, AB; Vicki Reeves, Shreveport, LA; Yvonne Cinnamon, Oliver BC; Charlie Stewart, OK Falls, BC; Maxine Banner, Fairview, AB; Sheila Boston, Red Deer, AB; Ruby Goertzen, Fairview, AB.

Ray may be gone but far from forgotten. He will be in our hearts forever with all that he taught us.
