Margaret “Jeanne” McCallister (Graham) passed away on January 24, 2004. She was predeceased by her sister Geneva Bray, and her brother Otha Graham of Montana, her loving husband Edwin, son John, grandchildren Edwin Sailor, Gary Clark McCallister, Owen and Clinton Steinebach, and Sean Corthell. She is survived by children Pat (Gene) Sawhill of Boulder, Colorado, Monte (Verna) McCallister of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Gary (Karen) McCallister of Rock Springs, Wyoming. Judy (Max) Nicholson of Grassy Plains, Sandra (Roy) Shmidl of Wheatland, Wyoming, Sharril (Dave) Corthell of Grassy Plains, Sharon Robertson of Grassy Plains, and Carol Pacheco of Grassy Plains. Twenty-four grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
She was born July 23, 1915 in Alder, Montana to Otha Clem Graham and Florence (Bock) Graham. Jeanne married Edwin Lynn McCallister on July 17, 1933 in Dillon, Montana. They raised nine children while horse ranching in Wyoming. In September of 1964 Ed, Jeanne and their youngest daughter Carol immigrated to Grassy Plains, B.C. Jeanne was an excellent cook and worked in timber camps both in Wyoming and in B.C. She was very active on the ranch. She touched many with her warmth and kindness. Her spirit will live on forever in our hearts.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2004 at 2;30 p.m. at Grassy Plains Community Hall.
