A memorial service was held at the United Virtue on May 13, 2005. Joe was a professional horseman and trainer since 1940. At one time he owned the largest Quarter Horse ranch in Northern BC. He was well known both in the US and Canada as a breeder, horse trader and trainer of some of the best bred Quarter horses in both countries. Even at the very last, his love of his horses never died.
