Passed away peacefully on April 5, 2023, in Prince George B.C. at the age of 78.
Joe was born January 28, 1945, in Westlock AB and was the youngest of 8 children. He grew up in Round Hill AB where he met his forever partner Loretta Law and married her on May 15, 1965.
Joe was an amazing Dad to his 3 girls Lianne, Laura and Jody and taught them all about the love of family and that distance between loved ones is only a car ride away - no matter where they lived.
Joe also taught his girls and grandchildren the benefits of living off the land. He taught them to hunt, fish, harvest berries and mushrooms and enjoy nature at its finest.
Joe embraced his sons-in-law as his own sons and even taught them a thing or two to make sure they provided a life he approved of, for his daughters.
Joe idolized and loved his wife Loretta very much, they did everything together - from working, to cooking, to all the amazing travels - they were always side-by-side.
Joe contributed to the development of Burns Lake through the many houses and industrial buildings that he helped construct throughout the mid-70's through the early 2000s.
Joe loved spending his winters in Arizona. But his favorite times and stories came from the time spent with his family hunting and fishing and sitting around campfires sharing memories and stories where everyone ended up in belly-aching laughter.
Joe was very proud of his family and will certainly be watching over each and every one of them from above.
Joe lived a full and loving life, and he will be dearly missed by his family and close friends but never ever forgotten by his wife of nearly 58 years, his daughters and their families, his brother and sister and many nieces and nephews.
