On Jan 16, Burns Lake resident Jessica Shively’s daughters were caught up in the aftermath of the snowstorm while driving back from Prince George.

“My oldest daughter, Aly, was driving when she hit a patch of ice near the industrial road,” Shively said.

The ice patch caused her to lose control of the car and hit the ditch at approximately 5 a.m.
