According to Burns Lake’s latest financial statements, the expenses of former councillor Chris Beach, who’s now the mayor of Burns Lake, were significantly higher compared to other councillors in 2016.
Beach resigned as councillor on Oct. 5, 2016 in order to run for mayor. Even though he was a councillor for only about nine months in 2016, his expenses were over $2500 higher than the expenses of other councillors.
