Edith was born in Smithers to Anna and William Gair. The family lived at Forestdale where Edith went to school.
In 1942 she married Hilbert (Libby) Anderson of Palling. They resided in many areas of the Lakes District, mostly logging camps until 1952 when they moved to Terrace.
Their first three children were born in Burns Lake, the younger two in Terrace.
Edith cared for foster children for many years. Her hobbies were gardening, hand-crafts, knitting, crochet, and cross-stitch.
Edith moved back to Burns Lake with her husband in 1984.
Edith was predeceased by her parents, three brothers, a sister, her husband and two sons. She is survived by two sisters, Jean Moser of Chase and Becky Perreault of Barriere, son Ian (Colleen) of Burns Lake, two daughters, Jean McCarron of Burns Lake and Penni Anderson of Grande Prairie, Alberta, six grandchildren.
At the time of her passing Edith was residing at the Pines Care Facility. Her ashes will be put to rest in Terrace with her husband and sons.
