Demko makes 31 saves to earn shutout for Vancouver

Thatcher Demko backstopped the Vancouver Canucks to a 2-0 victory over the visiting Chicago Blackhawks on Monday, netting his fifth shutout of the NHL season in the process.

Demko stopped all 31 shots he faced in Vancouver’s third straight victory.

Pius Suter and Quinn Hughes each had a goal for Vancouver (32-11-4), while Andrei Kuzmenko picked up two assists.
