As reported in Lakes District News edition of Feb. 16, 2011, 19 year old local resident Allie Dickson competed in three biathlon events at the Canada Winter Games held in Halifax, Nova Scotia recently.
Dickson competed as part of Team B.C. who brought a total of 242 athletes and 74 coaches to the games.
In the female, 7.5 kilometre sprint, Dickson came in 24 place with a time of 30:11.2.
