The B.C. Libraries program Books for Babies received funding from the Bulkley Valley Credit Union in all four communities it serves, including Burns Lake. A total of $1,000 was donated to each community. Sandy Doré branch manager of the Lakes District branch presented Burns Lake's funds to Elaine Wiebe, Bonny Remple and Joan Clancy.
