DC Street View in the Works!

by Jason M. Novak

When it comes to “cool” web features, DC tends to be the forgotten city thanks to the larger/closer to the action metropolitan areas in this country (you hear, me, Google Transit! I’m still waiting to be freed from the tyranny of WMATA’s Station Master!). I’m happy to report that Google Maps Street View of The [...]

Architectural Textiles at The Textile Museum

by Jason M. Novak

While current exhibition Red is getting all the promotional buzz, I recommend you take a few minutes (15 if you’re a quick browser, 30 if you like to stroll) to check out The Textile Museum’s other exhibition, Architectural Textiles: Tent Bands of Central Asia. by Jason M. Novak

Okay, so this one isn’t in the District. In fact, it’s not even in the greater metropolitan area. To visit Johnny Cupcakes, you’ll have to be in Boston (our second favorite city in the world). Of course there’s a website, but where’s the fun in that?

Old Dominion Brewhouse

by Jason M. Novak

If you’re ever near the new convention center (yes, I realize I should stop refering to it as the “new” convention center) and you find yourself craving a delicious microbrew, pop in to the first of several Old Dominion franchises slated to open in the DC area.
