The first co-presentation by the Lakes District Arts Council and The Beacon Theatre takes place on Sunday, Jan. 14 at 1 p.m. sharp at The Beacon Theatre. The featured opera broadcast is X: The Life and Time of Malcolm X.
Anthony Davis’s groundbreaking and influential opera premiered in 1986. The opera arrives at the Met in Robert O’Hara’s new staging that imagines Malcolm as an Everyman whose story transcends time and space.
